TERESA LASHMET : A fine police officer
Climbing to the top in a male dominated world is not that easy, though it is possible in a country like the U.S. based on the democratic values of freedom and democracy. Teresa Lashmet is a fine example of this.
Growing up in a family with male police officers, she carved a niche for herself by clearing the Police officer Miami exams. Not only did Teresa Lashmet clear it, she also topped the exams with flying colours.
She then underwent the tough CLEET training after making so many sacrifices with her family. She had to cut down on her time with family including the children. Her mother had to step in and take charge of the kids. This helped her in completing the training with a good score. The police officer Miami was also making the police headquarters proud, being the first woman to head the office.
Teresa Lashmet says she finds the other police officers friendly and she is friends with the family of other colleagues too. They are like her brother. One of the police officer feels about her that she is quite hardworking; which he never said openly. He only told that to some of his colleagues; which Teresa came to know later.
Teresa also enjoys training people in water aerobics. She has many interests besides being police officer Miami. She also loves to go fishing with her family.
It’s difficult to understand what goes inside the mind of the first Miami police officer; but she says that she believes, GOD supports her, whenever she is in a difficult position. It does speak about her faith in herself and goodwill of the people around her; which she believes in.
Her kids find her strict, she laughs this off; it is quite possible for this to happen.
She loves her kids dearly and recently they had to shift because of her daughter graduating. It’s the family which makes her stronger and dutiful to her challenging job says the first police officer Miami. She says again that she is supported by GOD and this gives her faith.
