Women Police Officers and Teresa Lashmet

An article on the Wikipedia says that Women in law enforcement in the United States represent roughly a tenth of all law enforcement officers in the United States. We don’t know if it is a figure we should be happy about or not.

WOMEN IN LAW ENFORCEMENT:
But, yes the numbers are improving and it is quite good for the country too. Early women entry into the police force by women has mostly been as police matrons. And the work they were involved in are desk work, supervision ,and counseling. It is with entry of women like Terersa Lashmet, that police force is becoming sensitive and safe place for women to work at. Statistics clearly show that there is a low participation of women in law enforcement services. THE absolutely first woman police officer in the The United States is Marie Owens, who joined the Chicago Police department in 1891.

Since then there has been a drop down in women entry. Teresa Lashmet has gone to become the first woman police officer in the Miami police department. Teresa is first police officer Miami.

This has also made Teresa Lashmet family proud and she is also the first woman police officer in her family. Her family has been into law enforcement for many generations. But, it was still her conscious decision to go into law enforcement. And she is happy about it. Teresa Lashmet feels that God is always with her. Which has made her resolve stronger over the years. Teresa Lashmet is also a proud mother. Her kids love and adore her. Though they do feel that she could be a little strict. Perhaps it would be OK with time. Teresa has a loving husband who drives a truck. With her loving family, pack of friends and relatives; Teresa is a complete family woman besides a responsible police officer. You guys have to read more about her work. More and more people are coming to be inspired by her. Children, elderly, big people. So much so; her co-workers at work also speak good about her. One of the officers says she’s very hardworking; which Teresa didn’t know about.

TERESA inspires peace!

Inspiring constant seeds of peace is what Teresa Lashmet , police officer Miami is known for. Recently she taught a number of kids scuba diving at a workshop at a local gym; and it was such a hit. Police force does not cultivate peace and win hearts by cleaning crime. But, also by such small deeds which bring the world closer. Teresa Lashmet is the kind-hearted, calm but an enthuse person, who choose civil service by her own choice. It takes guts to serve whole life for the society, moreover for the nation.  Teresa says, “I was always in the influence of this field and eagerly wanted to join this profession. I never considered it as a duty but I believe that I am lucky to have a chance to pay back for the betterment of the society and wholeheartedly take it as my responsibility”.
